That is tragic all the way around. Being a military institution all the more, I'm all for going by the book to help young people stick to decisions they make. It definitely builds character. In this case however, a good dose of common decency and compassion I do believe is in order. Right now with some prospective student athletes being extra flaky in their verbal commits, and whole signing of letters of intent and stipends and so forth kind of getting major attention, I guess they are trying to make a stand firm public statement maybe? Well I hope Ot comes through this all ok. I do believe he will and I do hope he stays a Vaquero too ! All the best Ot and Jon !

Ot might be able to play soon and help in the rotation at the guard position that was left vacant with the departure of Nick Dixon.
"The Vaqueros may pick up another rotation piece when VMI transfer Ot Elmore becomes eligible, most likely before UTRGV’s Dec. 20 game against Towson. Elmore hasn’t played since his final high school season in 2012-13, and Hipsher said he has to prove he can hold his own on defense."
